Clinical studies on Ranicef in gynecological infections




Abstract
Clinical trial was performed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ranicef, a new synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic, in the 30 patients with various gynecological infections.
In the clinical results, the effective response was observed in 24(83.3%) out of 30 patients. In the bacteriological response, eradication of isolated organisms resulted in 11(84.6%) out of 13 strains. Any side effect was not observed except one case with elevated sGOT and sGPT and three cases with nausea sense, but they were not so severe and improved without any treatment.
